EuroVelo 8

EuroVelo 8 is the Mediterranean Route: 7,560 kilometres of cycle route linking Cádiz with Cyprus. 217 of those kilometres cross the Region of Murcia, and for Costa Cálida we turned that stretch into a one-minute commercial.

The route runs from Águilas to Murcia in four stages, passing through Mazarrón, Cartagena and San Pedro del Pinatar. Coves, viewpoints, villages and salt flats best discovered by bike.

We approached the piece as a continuous journey: we open with the map of the European route, zoom in on the Region and let each stage introduce itself, with its name and distance drawn over the image.

We filmed couples, families and groups of friends to show that the route is for everyone, mixing cycling shots with the stops that make the trip: a terrace, a swing facing the sea, the Gredas de Bolnuevo or the flamingos on the salt flats. The result is a bright piece that never stops moving.
